I've been wanting a new car for some time now, I've had all of my vehicles paid off and my pickup truck is getting a bit long in the tooth. There are several cars I have been considering, and I wanted something sporty. I've been looking online at sport coupes such as the Hyundai Genisis Coupe, Mazda RX8, Suburu BRZ/Scion FRS, Audi TT, or even the Dodge Challenger; I've also been looking at "hot hatches" like the Volkswagen Golf R, GTI, Mini Cooper, or the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. One car I've been keeping an eye on is the Dodge Charger.
So the rotors on the Durango have been chattering and causing pedal / wheel chatter when applied, so they are not operating at optimal efficiency. This is the second set of rotors for the truck since we've owned it.
A while ago, I purchased some slotted/drilled rotors from Summit Racing for the Dakota and they are working really well, no chatter, no fading, gobs of stopping power; so I decided to order the same thing from Summit Racing again.
I recently picked up a GoPro video camera, so I'm going to be putting up some new videos on YouTube...
Here are a couple of videos I shot when driving home on Wednesday
On Thursday, I took my motorcycle to the shop to get a new battery and brakes. I also needed new tires so I got those as well as a battery tender. Since this is my 3rd battery for this bike.
I didn't go anywhere on Friday or Saturday, so the first opportunity that I had to go for a ride was Sunday. I couldn't find my ear plugs, so the first stop was to Rite-Aid. From there I decided to just, "go". I packed the camera for when I stop or see something worth photographing.
What an intense ride, that was so much fun.
Here is the route we took
There was one turn where I went in a little too hot, was at the DY, couldn't see around the corner and was already hauled over, the bike was somewhat unstable going in, and I was very unsure of the situation and didn't want to roll on. Luckily training kicked back in and said, don't break roll on slowly and lean more, I made it.
Later Dave hit a deer after leaving us to go home on Summit from Bear Creek. No damage to him or his bike
A great ride, and I hope we get more like it in soon
I took my motorcycle to Eastbay Motorsports on Wednesday due to the charging system not working. The bike would run just fine for about an hour, then die and not start.
The stator was bad. It's getting fixed under the extended warrenty YAY!!!I should have taken it in back at the begining of July when it first broke :(
I should have my bike back some time next week, then I should be able to get the counter shaft cover fixed.
I'm so excited, can't wait to get it back.
WOW, what an exciting weekend. Stefano and I got so many pictures it's not even funny...
I was pretty excited about going to the races this year, and really wanted to take my bike, unfortunatly the bike developed a charging problem 2 weeks before the races. This really bummed me out because last year I blew up the motor a week or two before the races and wasn't able to ride it down there then either.
This was a cold wet foggy ride, we rode up Steven's Creek to Steven's Canyon. Up 9 to 35, 35/Summit to Bear Creek, back to 9 towards Bolder Creek, and 9 into Santa Cruz
We ended the ride at "The Box" and had a great evening.
